About
Hi I'm Cashmen,
Registered Counseller and
Founder of InSync Counselling
I work with individuals, couples, and families across diverse emotional, mental health, relational, transitional, and developmental concerns. This includes working with people who have high and complex mental health challenges. To me, counselling is more than a profession; it’s a genuine commitment to support people through some of life’s most difficult moments. I bring together my own life experiences, clinical knowledge and an intuitive understanding of people to meet each person with empathy and care.
During my sessions we will focus on identifying your needs, setting meaningful goals, and finding practical or alternative solutions to remove the barriers holding you back, thus shaping therapy around what matters most for you - to be you.
My approach is flexible, collaborative, person-centred and humanistic; integrating various methodologies - such as cognitive, behavioural, systemic, somatic, relaxation and psychodynamic therapies to get a deep understanding of the you as a whole person. A integrative approach allows us to unpack the complex different factors that could be affecting your wellbeing and tailor the therapy to what would be most impactful for you.
I bring a range of personal and cultural experience, with additional certification in trauma, PTSD and phobias. I'm also in the process of completing certification in hypnotherapy and an extensive course in depression and anxiety, which I will be able to offer soon.
